Journey Overview

We will explore the enchanting cities of Lima and Cusco and have a lifetime experience exploring the lost city of the Inca’s – Machu Picchu, Peru’s most important archaeological site and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Marvel at other mystifying and enchanting archaeological complexes including Pisac in Cusco’s Sacred Valley that showcases the largest complex of agricultural terraces of the Inca Empire. Delve into The Temple of the Sun and fortress of Sacsayhuaman; complex of Qenqo with its stone labyrinth and sacrificial alter; and Puca Pucara, an architectural marvel of rooms, waterways and aqueducts. Delve into Lima’s old world capital brimming with Spanish architecture and pre-Spanish treasures. Tantalize your taste-buds at one of Lima’s many “cevicherías” or popular street food stands. Amazing moments of discovery are yours in Peru on this 7-day travel experience.

Day 1: Thursday 11, June 2020: Lima

Welcome to Lima!

Upon arrival, we will be assisted and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2: Friday 12, June 2020: Lima

Half Day - City Tour: Tour of Colonial and Modern Lima 

You will visit the modern and colonial part of the city of Lima, known as The City of Kings, starting with the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro before heading to the Historic Center. Once there, you will visit the Main Square, where you can take pictures of the amazing colonial architecture that surrounds it. Then, walk to the Chocolate Museum to have an exquisite experience with Peruvian cocoa. Afterwards, you will visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo, before heading back. You will pass through Huaca Huallamarca before reaching Miraflores, where you will get off at Love Park to take stunning photos of the landscape of the Lima coast. We wiil have lunch Mangos Restaurantat (BB,L)

Day 3: Saturday 13, June 2020: Lima, Cusco

At the scheduled time, we will be transferred to the airport to board the departure flight. (Airfares not included)

On route full day - Visit to the towns and archaeological centers of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. We will move towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, towards the town of Pisac. Before arriving, we will visit Awanakancha, a craft shop, where we can also observe local fauna. A stop at the Taray viewpoint will give us an unbeatable view of the area. Once in Pisac, we will visit its colorful market, which will captivate you with its original Andean essence. Afterwards, we will head to enjoy lunch. Continue to Ollantaytambo, military, religious and agricultural center of the Incas, located on top of a mountain. From there can appreciate the narrow streets of the town that bears the same name, as well as its canals, which have not changed since the Inca Empire. Finally, we can tour the beautiful town to get wrapped up in the unique Andean energy. (B,L)

Day 4: Sunday 14, June 2020: Cusco, Valle Sagrado, Mapi    

Luggage Transfer Sacred Valley Hotel / Cusco Hotel (SIB)

At the scheduled time, we will be transferred from Sacred Valley hotels to Ollantaytambo station.

Machu Picchi by Vistadome Train (with Local Guide) + lunch at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge. A visit to one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion starts with a train trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit. When we arrive, we will start the ascent to the ruins, which will without a doubt be one of our most unforgettable experiences. At Machu Picchu we can see one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World and take some impressive photos. Then we will enjoy a delicious lunch at Tinkuy Sanctuary Lodge. (B,L,D)


Dinner & Overnight at Casa Del Sol Machupicchu Boutique Hotel

Day 5: Monday 15, June 2020: Mapi, Cusco                                                                             

Visit the Machu Picchu archaeological complex on your own.

At the scheduled time, we will be transferred from the Ollantaytambo station to Cusco.

At coordinated time we will have a delicious dinner at nice restaurant (B, D) 

Overnight at Costa Del Sol Hotel - Ramada Cusco

Day 6: Tuesday 17, June 2020: Cusco

Half Day City Tour Of Cusco / Tour of Archaelogical Sites near Cusco. We will visit the city of Cusco, also known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Our tour will start at the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, above which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. Then, we will visit the Plaza de Armas, where we will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city. Continue ascending to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an impressive example of Inca military architecture. Afterwards, we will visit Kenko, an archaeological site where the Sun, Moon and Stars were celebrated. Continue with a visit to Puca-Pucara, place that would have served as "tambo" or resting place and lodging of the Inca. Finally, we will visit the art workshop Inka's Expression, where we will appreciate a sample of the various uses of Peruvian natural products (plants, fruits, vegetables, among others) and will know their nutritional, healing and cosmetic properties.

Then we will have a lunch at Limo restaurant.  (B, L)

Day 7: Wednesday  18, June 2020: Cusco

At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board the departure flight. (B)

Train to Machu Picchu

Complete passenger information (full name, type and number of document, nationality, and date of birth) at least 30 days prior to the date of the trip in order to guarantee seating on the chosen train. This is the only way of assuring you have the proper seats.
